On August 18, 2014, Chuck and Dianne will celebrate 60 years together. We want to honor this grand occasion over the next year by sharing memories made as a family. Please contribute by adding any memory you have of the family, doesn't have to be specific to mom & dad (grandma & grandpa). Add as much as you like and make them as short or long as you want! Think traditions, trips, girls weekends, holidays, summer nights on the patio, weddings, babies, funny stories... you get the picture! Let's remember the legacy that Chuck and Dianne have created!

Please state who is documenting the memory on the first line of the post. Thanks!

Mom. Simply Amazing!

Oh, how I love my beautiful mother! She is moving forward through a difficult time after the passing of dad with so much courage. My siblings and I stand in awe of her resilience and strength. Mom keeps going and loving and supporting her family like she always has. She is so beloved because she has loved so well.

She also became the most beautiful 89-year-old there ever was on September 24, 2022!

And since Dutch Christmas is a favorite Tate-family tradition, Mom has been busy getting everything ready for our upcoming Dutch Christmas celebration.

Love you, mom, for the woman you were when you married dad, for the woman you were while raising all of us kids, for the woman you are as the cutest and most amazing wife, mom, grandma, nana, and great grandma there has ever been.

You are the glue that holds us all together. Your love and faith and light will shine and bless our lives forever!
Love you, Becky

Dad’s Passing

On March 6, 2022, Charles D. Tate, Jr., passed away at the age of 93 surrounded by loved ones. I’m sure there was a sweet reuniting with Stephanie and Briana. And many sweet reunions with his parents, siblings and friends, who had previously passed away.

The family gathered together, and it was a tender and bittersweet time for us all!

The night before Dad’s viewing, several of the missionaries who had served in the Missouri St. Louis mission during mom and dad’s time as Mission President from 1983-86, came to visit mom. She really enjoyed their visit.

We held his viewing at the old 13th Ward Church building on March 11, 2022.

The funeral was held on March, 12, 2022 in the same Church building.

Dad was buried in the Orem Cemetery. We sang Sinter Klaas Koepuntje as each child, grandchild, and great grandchild put a tulip on dad’s casket.

We all miss our dad, grandpa, papa, and grandpa great. But no one more than mom misses her Chuck. We are thankful to have had dad with us for so long and are so blessed to have our beautiful mom still with us.

Beaver 2017 Family Reunion

Mom and dad always ensure we had amazing accommodations for our family reunions.  This made it possible for all of us to gather and make lifetime memories.

Beaver was no exception!  We had so much fun just being together!

It was the casual, fun moments that are my favorite!

Mom and Dad's greatest legacy will be this family.

The love, the laughter, and how we always stick together.  Always.

That, to me, is the greatest gift I have been given by my sweet mom!
