As Mom & Dad's 60th wedding anniversary was approaching, we were trying to come up with a fun way to celebrate such a momentous occasion. What better way to celebrate than spending a week in Maine? We rented two homes in the mid-coast area to accommodate us all and spent a fun week together (with Mom and Dad, us kids and spouses).
We had fun putting puzzles together, seeing lighthouses, eating at Moody's Diner, cruising on a schooner in Penobscot Bay, and reconnecting with Bob & Sue Wieluns. Some of us golfed (and kind of forgot to turn the car off while doing so), some of the guys rode bikes (some on serious road bikes while one tried to keep up on a non-serious cruiser), one of us sang and danced in bib biking overalls 😂, and some of us had lovely morning walks to Camden and Rockport. We played many rounds of the name game and Dad couldn't stop laughing about Rin Tin Tin. We refined our jumping picture skills and learned new tricks, including donkey kicks, while all of us had many good laughs together, which was the best part!
